Use Caution at Intersections with Standing Water

Due to storm surge and excess rainfall from Hurricane Idalia, multiple low-lying intersections across Cape Coral have standing water.

Approach these intersections carefully and use caution when navigating rain-soaked streets. Do not attempt to drive through areas with localized flooding.

During our next low-tide cycle, after 3 p.m. this afternoon, the canal waters will begin to recede, and residents will see improvements in the areas with standing water.  

Significant improvements will occur within the next 24 hours.
