ALL UTILITY CUSTOMERS:

Due to the transition to new utility billing software, there has been a delay generating this month’s utility bills.  If you have not yet received your bill, it should arrive within the next week.   Subsequent bills should arrive in accordance with the regular billing schedule.  We appreciate your patience during this transition period.

NOTE:  There will be no interruptions in service or penalties
for late payments during the transition.

Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill Update

The City of Cape Coral is working with Lee County Emergency Management on the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill.  State/Counties continue to coordinate with the U.S. Coast Guard/BP to prepare for any possible impacts to the SW Florida area.

Some Western Panhandle counties have seen oil impacts over the last week but at this time the official NOAA trajectories show no projected impacts to Southwest Florida in the short term.  If our area does see impacts, it is expected to be in the form of weathered oil and/or tar balls.

Job seekers looking for jobs created in response to oil spill, visit www.FloridaGulfRecoveryJobs.com. More than 3,500 positions now available.
