Cape Coral Charter School Authority to Finalize Mental Health Application During Special Meeting

August 16, 2023

The City of Cape Coral Charter School Authority (CSA) is scheduled to review and approve Oasis Charter School's 2023-2024 Mental Health Application at a special meeting in Council Chambers, 1015 Cultural Park Boulevard, Friday, August 18, at 3:30 p.m.

The meeting is open to the public and will provide information on the application's two initiatives:

  • Youth Mental Health Awareness Training Plan
  • Mental Health Assistance Allocation

The Charter School Authority will provide the approved application to the Lee County School District for inclusion in the District's overall submission to the Florida Department of Education.

The Mental Health Plan helps Florida school districts obtain supplemental funding to establish, expand and improve mental health care, awareness and training and offer a continuum of services. These allocations are appropriated annually to serve students and families through resources designed to foster quality mental health.
