Special Pops to Serve the Community During Fundraising Event

Participants from the City's Freida B. Smith Special Populations Center (Special Pops) will be serving pizza to the community during a fundraiser event Wednesday, July 19.

Special Pops participants will be at Lelulos Pizza, 3123 Chiquita Boulevard, from 11 - 2 and 4 - 7:45 serving up pizza in support of the 3rd Annual VIP Staff Day.

VIP Staff Day is an event held in partnership with Lelulos Pizza and Guardian Angels for Special Populations (Guardian Angels), a volunteer, non-profit organization that provides support to Special Pops' programs.

This year's event will include silent auctions and raffles. A percentage of food sales and all other proceeds will go to Guardian Angels to help support Special Pops in continuing its mission to promote independence through exposure, education, experience and encouragement in a safe, caring environment. Programs include life skills development and adult day training in addition to after-school, evening and special events.
