GO Bond Public Input

As part of the Parks GO Bond initiative, the City is hosting a series of meetings to gather community input on the designs of the community parks that will be constructed citywide.

The community parks include:
   Festival Park
   Lake Kennedy Racquet Center
   Yacht Club
   Yellow Fever Creek Preserve

The public input meetings for these community parks are set for the following dates/times:

Each meeting will be held at the Cape Coral Yacht Club  and will be an open house with instructions on how to participate in the design process. The public can arrive anytime between the hours of 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Display boards will be provided for each community park and comment cards will be available. City staff and the consultant team will be on hand to answer any questions.

These workshops are an opportunity for interested members of the public to review and comment on the community park concept plans. Please note that there will be two public meetings for each community park. The design consultant will refine the park concepts based on feedback from the first public input meeting and will present the refined concepts at the second round of meetings.

***For anyone who wishes to provide input on one of the community parks above and is unable to attend a meeting, please complete the survey below. All surveys will be sent to the engineering design firm that was hired by the City to complete the park designs.

The new neighborhood parks include:
Crystal Lake Park
   Cultural Park
   Gator Circle Park
   Lake Meade Park
   Oasis Woods Park
   Sands Park
   Tropicana Park

The public input meetings were held the week of September 15, 2019. The final designs of the neighborhood parks are expected to be presented to City Council for approval in Jan/Feb 2020.
