Photo Contest 2020

The City of Cape Coral is pleased to announce its 2020 Resident Photo Contest!  In preparation for Florida City Government Week in October, this contest will run now through October 15 and will celebrate the beauty in our city from the perspective of our residents. 

Categories include:   Nature and Landscape (landscapes, wildlife, plants, and close-ups of natural scenes) , Aerial Photography (drone photos), and Infrastructure (buildings, roads, etc.). 

All photos must be taken in Cape Coral, be in .jpg format, 300 dpi min, 8mp max size with no visible photographer’s signatures, copyrights, titles, dates or writing on the photo.   All entered photographs may be used as content on the City’s website or in other City of Cape Coral publications.  Photographs should be high resolution. As stated above, we use submitted photographs with a photo credit in publications and on our website. The higher the resolution you provide, the more likely your photograph will be used.  By submitting a photo to this contest you agree to these regulations.

  Submissions are to be uploaded to Box here .  All submissions must be received no later than 4:00 pm on October 15, 2020.  We reserve the right to reject any entry.  

The judges will choose first, second and third place winners in each category, as well as, best in show.   First place winners will receive a $50 Parks & Recreation gift card.  Second place winners  will receive a $30 Parks & Recreation gift card.  Third place winners will receive a a $20 Parks & Recreation gift card.  Best in show will receive an additional $50 Parks & Recreation gift card.

 Winners will be posted on the City of Cape Coral website and will be notified by email. 

Florida City Government Week

The City of Cape Coral will be joining cities throughout the state in celebrating Florida City Government Week from October 19-25, 2020. Florida City Government Week, sponsored by the Florida League of Cities, is a week-long celebration that raises awareness about the importance of municipal government and its daily impact on residents. The League is the official organization of the municipal governments in Florida.
