The Public Works Project Management section is responsible for managing City contracts with a variety of private companies employed to either design or construction transportation and drainage capital projects. This section implements the plans for capital improvements identified by the Planning and Permitting Division and the Maintenance Division. Specific tasks include developing a scope for the work, estimating costs and determining budgets, establishing a schedule, reviewing proposals and plans, coordinating reviews and permitting requirements with City staff, contractors and other government agencies, and monitoring construction.
