Public Right of Way ADA Transition Plan

Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) states that a public entity must reasonably modify its policies, practices, or procedures to avoid discrimination against people with disabilities. The City of Cape Coral will comply with this mandate through self-evaluation, a transition plan for upgrading facilities within the public right of way, and an action plan for directing policies and programs toward compliance with the ADA.

The Public Right of Way ADA Transition Plan assists the City administration, department directors, division managers, and all employees in identifying policies, programs, and physical barriers to accessibility with the goal of developing solutions to ensure the opportunity for access to all individuals.

The report and documents incorporated by reference establish the public right of way ADA self-evaluation process and transition plan for the City of Cape Coral.
