CITYWIDE SPECIAL EVENTS
Veterans Day Drive-In Parade - Wednesday, November 11, 2020 (CANCELED)
Join us as the community honors our American Heroes and pays tribute to those who lost their lives, those who served honorably and those who are still proudly serving our country. The Veteran's Day Celebration is a cooperative effort of the City of Cape Coral Parks and Recreation and local community volunteers. We will be following CDC guidelines & recommendations during the event.
We will be hosting a Drive-In Parade at Sun Splash Family Waterpark Festival Grounds, and all interested spectators will be a part of the parade this year. Everyone must arrive and participate in a vehicle. Register early as spots are limited. All vehicles are encouraged to decorate for the occasion. Veterans and Veteran groups will have a reserved parking section.
In place of this event, the city will be doing a smaller event next week that will not be open to the public to recognize our local Veterans. If you have a Veteran in your family/inner circle, please send us their contact information to specialevents@capecoral.net, so we can reach out to invite them!

Holiday Boat-A-Long - Saturday, December 19, 2020 (LAND ACTIVITIES CANCELED)
For the protection of the public health, safety, and welfare, the City of Cape Coral Parks and Recreation Department has decided to cancel the land activities originally scheduled for the Holiday Boat-A-Long on Saturday, December 19 at Four Freedoms Park. Sea Tow of Cape Coral will still be coordinating the boat parade on its normal route throughout various canals in South Cape Coral and the Bimini Basin. For those interested in having their boat in the parade, please register with Sea Tow of Cape Coral by calling (239) 945-4820.
Update: Reservations are not being accepted, and there are no tickets to attend. If you decide to go to Four Freedoms Park to watch Sea Tow's parade (boat staging at 6pm, parade at 7pm), attendance numbers are not being managed as the city will not be coordinating any land activities. Chairs and blankets are recommended. Please contact Sea Tow of Cape Coral if you have any questions.

EVENT SPONSORSHIPS
The Special Events Division offers a variety of sponsorship opportunities that allow businesses to promote their name/products/services in conjunction with City organized events. The goal is to create a “win-win” combination for the sponsor as well as the event, which is accomplished by providing a creative venue for companies to reach their target audience while making additional funds or services available to enhance the event experience. For more information about sponsorships, please contact Todd King, Special Events Coordinator, at tking@capecoral.net or (239) 573-3121.
