While many of the Youth Sports and Adults Sports programs offered are arranged and facilitated directly by the Athletic Division, there are also several organizations throughout the community that operate their own leagues and utilize Cape Coral's athletic parks for their games/matches. Youth Soccer, Girls Softball, Pop Warner Jr. Football and Cheerleading, and BMX Motocross are all operated by organizations outside of the City. Please go to Community Sports Organizations page to view applicable ages and contact information.
Important Update: Athletic Field Online Reservations Begin May 12, 2020
Beginning May 12, 2020, the City of Cape Coral Parks and Recreation Department will have time available for the public to use Cape Coral athletic fields, at no charge, when following CDC guidelines. Staff will monitor the fields to ensure there are no groups of 10 or more gathering and that social distancing guidelines are being followed. Since fields are large enough to handle more than one group of 10 or less, there may be multiple groups on the fields at one time. If proper social distancing is followed, then the public is safely using the fields and this process will continue.
In addition, an online reservation system will be available for citizens to secure exclusive use of fields starting May 18, 2020. Field space can be reserved Monday through Friday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. for a nominal fee* at the following locations: BMX Park, Jim Jeffers Park, Northwest Softball Complex, Pelican Baseball Complex and Pelican Soccer Complex. Citizens must reserve fields online. Note: There will still be open play for public use at these parks as well at no cost. Cape Coral's other athletic complexes will not have reservations available at this time.
*The cost to reserve a field is $20 plus tax for 2 hours, and no lights are available at this time. In order to make reservations, an online account must be set up, with all reservations and payments to be accepted online only. Fields must be reserved at least 7 days prior to the date reservation is being made for. All field reservations must be made and paid for online. Click below to access reservations starting 5/12/20.
--> Go to Online Registration - Click "Facility Rentals" & select field of choice
The City of Cape Coral Parks and Recreation Department is working diligently to provide a safe environment for the citizens in our community while visiting the parks. We will continue to monitor the situation and follow guidelines set forth from Federal, State and Local governments.
If you're looking to get involved by volunteering to be a youth sports coach, official or league assistant, the Athletic Division has a number of opportunities available and appreciates the help!
