Safety

Risk Management is responsible for preventing injuries to employees, residents, and guests in all City facilities and operations.

State and Federal laws and City regulations make the safety and health of our employees a top priority. Safety and health considerations must be a part of every operation and every employee's responsibility at all levels. It is the intent of the City of Cape Coral to comply with all laws concerning the operation of City functions and the health and safety of our employees and the public.

To ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations without exception, no electrical work, construction, or modification, should be done by anyone who is not qualified or without appropriate permit(s).  Any electrical work done on City facilities will only be done by qualified, licensed tradesmen and will be accomplished thru the permit & subsequent inspection process. Electrical work, for these purposes, could be defined as anything that involves opening or installing any sort of electrical enclosure (an electrical box, conduit, etc.) or any modification or installation of current-carrying conductors.

The City of Cape Coral aims to promote safety and health programs that reduce the number of injuries and illnesses to an absolute minimum, not merely in keeping with but surpassing the best experience of similar operations by others. Our goal is zero accidents and injuries.
