Boards and Committees - Vacancies
Vacancies occur on boards and committees on a regular basis due to term limits, resignations or other circumstances.  Current vacancies and timelines/requirements for submitting applications are listed below.

NOTE:  All applicants for any City Board, Commission or Committee must be a Citizen of the United States and resident of the City of Cape Coral.

Current Vacancies:

Affordable Housing Advisory Committee – 2 Vacancies          
Citizen of the United States and Resident of Cape Coral
(1) Labor - home building
(1) Essential Services personnel
Deadline to receive applications is no later than 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 3, 2019.

Audit Committee – 1 Vacancy
Citizen of the United States and Resident of Cape Coral (who does not have any direct financial or business interests involving the City) and through education and experience shall possess a basic understanding of governmental financial reporting and auditing.    Council may waive the residency requirement by majority vote if there is an insufficient number of applicants who reside in the City.
Deadline to receive applications is no later than 12:00 p.m. on Friday, December 20, 2019.

Citizens Advisory Board for Community Development Block Grant  (CDBG) - 5 Vacancies
Citizen of the United States and Resident of Cape Coral (Elderly (Person aged 65+), or Person of low or moderate income, or Person who has handicap, or Person of minority.
Deadline to receive applications is no later than 12:00 p.m. on Friday, December 20, 2019.
 

Community Redevelopment Agency - 2 Vacancies
State Statute 163.356(3)(b) - Any person may be appointed as commissioner if he resides or is engaged in business, which means owning a business, practicing a profession, or performing a service for compensation, or serving as an officer or director of a corporation, or other business entity so engaged, within the area of operation of the agency, which shall be coterminous with the area of operation of the county or municipality, and is otherwise eligible for such appointment under this part.
Applications are available on the City’s website, www.capecoral.net  the City Clerk’s Office at City Hall, 1015 Cultural Park Boulevard, or if you would like one mailed, call the City Clerk’s Office at 239-574-0411.       
Deadline to recieve applications is no later than 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 18, 2019.

Construction Regulation Board – 2 Vacancies
Citizen of the United States and Resident of Cape Coral
(2) *Licensed Contractors, B Certification or higher
(1) *Licensed Electrical Contractor
(1) *Licensed Pool Contractor
(1) *Roofing Contractor
(2) *Consumer Representatives who are not a member or practitioner of a profession regulation by the board or a member of any closely related profession. *Whenever possible
Deadline to receive applications is no later than 12:00 p.m. on Friday,  December 20, 2019. 

Golf Course Advisory Board - 3 Vacancies
Citizen of the United States and Resident of Cape Coral
(3) Golfers familiar with golf operations
Deadline to receive applications is no later than 12:00 p.m. on Friday, December 20, 2019

Health Facilities Authority – 1 Vacancy          
Citizen of the United States and Resident of Cape Coral
Deadline to receive applications is no later than 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 7, 2019. 

Lee County Metropolitan Planning Commission - Citizen Advisory Committee (CAC) - 2 vacancies
(2) Citizens of the United States and Year-Round Residents of the City.
There is a two step approval process, first by City Council and then, second by the Lee County MPO.
Deadline to receive applications is no later than 12:00 p.m. on Monday, December 2, 2019.
