Vacancies occur on boards and committees on a regular basis due to term limits, resignations or other circumstances.  Current vacancies and timelines/requirements for submitting applications are listed below.

NOTE:  All applicants for any City Board, Commission or Committee must be a Citizen of the United States and resident of the City of Cape Coral. 


Board Application

Affordable Housing Advisory Committee – 4 Vacancies
(1) Residential home building industry*
(1) Labor – home building*
(1) For-profit provider of affordable housing*
(1) Non-for-profit provider of affordable housing*
*A citizen who is actively engaged in the above-listed category in connection with affordable housing.
Deadline to receive applications is no later than 12:00 p.m. on Friday, January 22, 2021. 


Budget Review Committee - 1 Vacancy
(1) *
Citizen of the United States, Resident of Cape Coral, and established financial background, which may include an educational background, experience, or both in a government budget process or private sector process, accounting experience, or high-level financial management experience, such as a Chief Financial Officer that has directly overseen budgetary processes, including the preparation and implementation of a budget for a large organization or company.
*An alternate could also be chosen from the same pool of applicants.
Deadline to receive applications is no later than 12:00 p.m. on Friday, January 15, 2021.
 


Community Development Block Grant - 1 Vacancy
(1) Citizen of the United States and Resident of Cape Coral - Elderly (person aged 65+), or person of low or moderate income, or person who has handicap or person of minority.
Deadline to receive applications is no later than 12:00 p.m. on Friday, January 22, 2021.
 


Health Facilities Authority - 1 Vacancy
(1) Citizen of the United States and Resident of Cape Coral.
Deadline to receive applications is no later than 12:00 p.m. on Friday, January 15, 2021.
