2020 City Council Elections

 The City of Cape Coral will hold Elections in 2020 for Council Members in Districts 2, 3, 5, and 7.  This is a non-partisan election.

All candidates must be: 1) a registered elector of the City; 2) a permanent resident of the City; and 3) a continuous, full-time resident of the City for the entire calendar year preceding his/her qualification for office.  Candidates for Council Member must also reside in their respective districts.

Candidate Information and Resources:
STEP ONE:  Do not accept contributions and do not open a campaign account until you have filed Form DS-DE-9 "Appointment of Campaign Treasurer and Designation of Depository for Candidates" with City Clerk.

STEP THREE:  When Step One is complete and a copy of Form DS-DE 9 is taken to the bank to open an account, monthly reports will be due.  The report due date schedule will be provided to you during the Step One process.

Forms to announce your candidacy (DS-DE 9 and DS-DE 84) can be obtained at the Division of Elections website,  
The originals must be filed with the City Clerk, at City Hall, 1015 Cultural Park Boulevard, Cape Coral, FL  33990.
