Counting Down to Red, White & BOOM - FAQ's Answered!

Red White Boom LogoThe City of Cape Coral Parks and Recreation Department is proud to present the largest single day event in Southwest Florida. Join us on Saturday, July 4 for the 2015 Red, White, and BOOM! Over 30,000 people will come to the heart of Cape Coral to see Southwest Florida's best fireworks display. Enjoy food, drinks, family, and friends while taking in some great music and the biggest fireworks show in Southwest Florida!

When and where does the event take place?
Saturday, July 4
5:00-10:30 p.m.
At the foot of the Cape Coral Parkway Bridge

When will the Cape Coral Parkway Bridge be closed for the event?
The bridge will be closed at 4:30 a.m. the morning of July 4. The east end of Cape Coral Parkway by the bridge will also be closed at this time. At approximately 3:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 5, the road and bridge will re-open.

What activities will be happening at Red, White & BOOM?
The event will feature amazing stage entertainment from 5:00-10:00 p.m. with this year’s headliner, Country star Chase Rice, performing at 8:00 p.m. Opening acts include Mickey Guyton and “Keep the Faith” Bon Jovi Tribute band.

In addition, the event will offer Kids’ Patriot Park, which will be open from 5:00-9:15 p.m. and will feature a 300’ zip line, fun inflatables, water slides, face painting and more. A large variety of food, drink, and craft vendors will also be at the event. To end the night, the best fireworks show in Southwest Florida will take place at 9:30 p.m.

How much is it to attend this event?
General admission for the event is free! For unlimited access to Kids’ Patriot Park from 5:00 to 9:15 p.m., the cost is $5 per person. For access to the “Cat Country Party Pit featuring Chase Rice,” the cost is $20 per person. The Party Pit provides an up-close stage experience like never before! Tickets are very limited and are available now at the following locations:

What activities will be offered at Kids’ Patriot Park?
Purchase a $5 wristband and have unlimited access to the activities listed below. (Some rides may have a minimum age requirement.) Bring a change of clothes for the kids and plan for an afternoon of water-filled fun!

Will single rides be available for purchase or are you required to buy a $5 wristband to enter Kids Patriot Park?
It is $5 to enter Kids Patriot Park whether someone wants to do one ride or have unlimited access.

Do parents have to pay $5 to accompany their children into Kids’ Patriot Park even if they don’t plan to ride anything?
No. Parents can accompany their children and do not have to pay to be with them unless they would like to participate in the rides. We will have water elements in the park, so a family changing tent will be available if parents would like their children to change out of their wet clothes.

Can tickets to the Kids’ Patriot Park be purchased in advance or will they be available at the event only?
Tickets will be available at the front of Patriot Park only. No advanced tickets are available.

Where do I park for this event?
There will be a free “BOOM bus” with handicap accessibility picking up at all the downtown parking lot locations including Club Square, Iguana Mia, Veterans Museum, and Big John's Plaza. These locations also have free parking. There will be additional parking at the El Rey Jesus Church for $10 per car with no charge for handicap parking.

Can we bring coolers with our own food and drinks?
No coolers will be permitted in the venue. There will be plenty of vendors with a variety of food and drinks that can be purchased at the event.

Can we bring our pets?
No pets are allowed unless they are service animals.
