Cape Coral's inaugural “Ground-Owl Day” ceremony is set for Saturday, February 2 at 9:00 a.m. The event will be hosted by CCFW and Cape Coral Parks and Recreation at the Rotary Community Garden, which is located on the north side of City Hall. Contest winners will be announced at the event, which will also feature a proclamation and light refreshments. Everyone will be hoping that the new mascot will see his shadow so we can enjoy six more weeks of “winter weather” in Cape Coral.

Later the evening of February 2, join us for a FREE "Movie in the Park" at Jaycee Park featuring "Hoot" on the big screen. The Cape Coral Fun-Mobile will be on site with free activities starting at 5:00 p.m. along with food trucks with refreshments for sale. The movie will begin at dusk (~6:30 p.m.)
