Parks & Rec Summer Camps Starting Soon!
Summer is quickly approaching and if you are looking for fun, safe, and educational ways for your children to spend their summer break, look no further! The Cape Coral Parks & Recreation Department will once again be offering a full line-up of traditional and specialty summer camps for children ages 3-17 throughout the summer. Most of the camps are offered in weekly increments with different themes, field trips, guest speakers, and activities planned.
Several camps will begin the week of May 30, after school lets out for the summer, and run through the week of July 31. The Youth Center will once again be hosting its traditional Summer CAMPtacular recreation program at two locations (Youth Center and Oasis Elementary) for children entering grades K-8 that includes multiple field trips, activities and guest speakers. In addition, our non-traveling Staycation Camp will once again be held at Christa McAuliff Elementary for a reduced price.
In addition to traditional camps, the Cape Coral Parks & Recreation Department offers a wide variety of specialty camps including Eco Adventure Nature Camp at Rotary Park; Fine Arts for Kids Camp at the Arts Studio; Preschool and Super Science Camps at Four Freedoms Park; Beach Exploration, Kids Kayaking, Paddleboarding and a new Drone Camp at the Yacht Club; Jr. Lifeguard and Splash Camps at Sun Splash and the Yacht Club Pool; Dress Like a Diva Design Camp and Find Your Voice Karaoke Camp for bigger kids at Lake Kennedy; Tiny Tot and Junior Tennis Camp at the Yacht Club Tennis Courts; and even a college application prep camp called “Ready, Set, College” at Four Freedoms for high school students. To wrap up the summer, “August Adventures” will run the final week of summer break from July 31-August 4 at the Youth Center; however, early registration is required as space is extremely limited.
While some families may choose to stay with the same program/location for their children throughout the summer, you are also able to “mix and match” camp weeks between the different Parks & Recreation facilities. For pricing and information about specific camps including the weekly themes, view the summer Parks & Recreation Program Guide online at www.CapeParks.com, pick up a copy of the 2017 Summer Camp Guide and/or Program Guide at Cape Coral City Hall or any recreation center, or call the division hosting the camp at the following phone numbers:
