"Gear Up Florida" Cycling Team To Visit City's Special Populations On May 14

The “Gear Up Florida” cycling team will be making at stop at the City’s Special Populations facility, which is located at 410 Santa Barbara Boulevard on Monday, May 14. The team plans to arrive at noon and the public is invited to attend. The purpose of the visit is to spread a message of acceptance and understanding on behalf of people with disabilities.

 

The Ability Experience coordinates “Gear Up Florida”, which is an annual 800-mile two-week cycling event. The trip begins in Miami and ends in Tallahassee. The team will stop in 13 cities and cycle an average of 75 miles a day to raise funds to benefit people with disabilities.
