Between the months of September 2007 and January 2008, the City of Cape Coral held three (3) visioning workshops open to the citizens to provide insight to the major issues affecting the City today, and how the community envisioned their City in the next twenty (20) years. In addition, feedback was obtained by conducting interviews with the various stakeholders of the community. Eight (8) major issues were identified, and thirty eight (38) goals were developed by participating stakeholders during the workshops.
Additionally, as part of the visioning process, a Visual Preference Survey was also conducted to provide insight to the participants' preference regarding building types, design layout, landscaping and buffering and density, and how they envision the "look" of the City in the next twenty (20) years.
The final visioning document and related appendices are available for viewing in PDF format below. Please check back for updates on visioning related activities in the future.
