Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds are awarded to eligible non-profit agencies and City departments on an annual basis.  Please note INDIVIDUALS and FOR PROFIT entities are not eligible to apply for CDBG funds.  This competitive process begins in February/March of each year and is subject to availability of funds.

CDBG-R Program
The City of Cape Coral recieved $186,513 in CDBG-R program established by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).  This project provides for the installation of sidewalks in CDBG eligibale areas to improve pedestrian access, safety, and walkability for residents in eligible census tract areas.  The total proposed project results in 7,460 linear feet of sidewalk along Skyline Boulevard. 

State Housing Initiative Partnership Program (SHIP) funds are awarded to eligible non-profit agencies on an annual basis.  This competitive process begins in May of each year and is subject to the availability of funds.
