School’s Out Days
When School is out, Parks and Recreation is in! The Youth Services Division offers full day programs to all Lee County students (grades VPK - 9) when school is not in session. Programs are held at Oasis Elementary School or Christa McAuliffe Elementary School. Fees are $26 per day (2nd child discount available) and include a field trip or a pizza lunch (lunch will need to be provided from home on days when field trips are taken). Participants will partake in indoor/outdoor activities, games, field trips and arts and crafts. See the Event Calendar on the Youth Services Home Page for upcoming schools out days.
Winter Wonderland
Wondering what to do with your kids over the long winter break? Parks and Recreation is the answer! The Youth Services Division offers its “Winter Wonderland” full day program to all students (grades VPK - 9) during the entire winter break*! Children attending this program, which is staffed by “Fun Experts,” will enjoy arts and crafts, indoor and outdoor games, guest speakers, field trips and much more! Program includes one pizza lunch per session. Remember to sign up early, as space is limited.
* No programs on Christmas Day or New Years Day.
Spring Break
Spring Break is fun for the kids, but sometimes a challenge for parents who have to work. Never fear – Parks & Recreation has the perfect solution! The Youth Services Division offers a full day child care program during the entire spring break. Programs are open to all students (grades VPK - 9) and is held at the Oasis Elementary School. Participants will enjoy arts and crafts, indoor and outdoor games, guest speakers, field trips and much more! Remember to register your child(ren) early, as space is limited.
Summer Recreation Summer Camp
Looking for fun and affordable child care for the summer break? Parks and Recreation has just what you’re looking for! The Youth Services Division offers a Summer Recreation program to children grades K - 5 (child must be at least 5 years old by September 1, 2012). This year's Summer Recreation locations are Oasis Elementary, Four Freedoms Park, Caloosa Middle, and Christa McAuliffe Elementary School. The cost of this program is $89 per child per week. Participants will enjoy field trips, indoor and outdoor games, arts and crafts, guest speakers and much more. Lunch and one snack will be provided daily, afternoon snack to be provided from home.
To Register: An enrollment form must be filled out and payment must be made in full for the first week of camp. Registration forms & payment can be made at the Wm. Austen Youth Center, 315 SW 2nd Ave (starting April 2, 2012)
