The U.S. Commercial Service, part of the U.S. Department of Commerce, has a mission to provide export assistance to small and medium sized companies, reduce trade barriers, and increase the number of trade missions abroad.  The objective is to double US exports by 2015. According to reports, accomplishing this objective would mean 2 million new jobs in the US.
