The City's slogan, Business friendly is our business, received recognition from many respondents to the 2011 Economic Development Survey of Cape Coral Businesses.  Bottom line: the City and EDO are on the right track to make our city one of the most business friendly in the state.

Ana Venetsanos of Inkromatic, LLC said, "When we sought to establish our business, the information on the EDO's website was our first stepping-stone. It was 'chock-full' of resources related to conducting business in Cape Coral.  The City staff also guided us through the process of obtaining licensing, certificate of use, etc.  They were extremely helpful."

Most survey respondents learned about the EDO through our website, from the Cape Coral Chamber of Commerce, or other local group.  The majority of respondents have made use of our eNewsletter, website, and business brochures.  Our eBlasts - announcements and reminders for local business events - are well received.  Business owners found demographics, licensing info, and site selection information among the most useful information tools the EDO provides.  Many new business owners also downloaded and used the Entrepreneur Guide - one of our website's business support resources.

Not surprisingly, the majority of survey respondents were Cape residents before starting their business here and had chosen the city for its affordability and quality of life.

We will use our business owners' advice to continuously strengthen the message and, as one respondent put it, "advertise that Cape Coral is a business friendly environment to help attract more business and therefore more jobs."
