Rotary Park offers summer camp for children ages 7-13. Camp meets weekly from May 31 through July 28. Each week has a different nature or science related theme. Click the links below for more information.

Rain Barrel Workshop
Next Workshop - Saturday, July 29, 2017

Led by instructors with the Florida Yards and Neighborhoods program, the class fee includes a rain barrel ready for you to take home and install at your home. This workshop is only held 2x a year - on the same day as the Native Plant Sales. Sometimes leftover barrels are stored at the park, call the park office to see about getting one at other times throughout the year.
$45 per barrel - call 239-549-4606 to register.

Intro to Florida Friendly Landscaping (All Ages)
Friday 7/21 from 6:00-9:00pm

A great (FREE) class for longtime residents and new residents alike. Learn what plants to use and where, how to create a beautiful and eco friendly yard, be efficient with your use of water and more. Did we mention this class is FREE, but an RSVP would be appreciated.

FREE Gardening Series and Walks
Come to any or all of these FREE programs offered by the Lee County Master Gardeners. There will be time for questions and answers after each class and a walk around the building to discuss Florida friendly gardening principles. Fall 2017 schedule TBA

Free Florida Friendly Gardening Walks 
Immediately following each of the Free Gardening Series Programs, join a Lee County Master Gardener for a walk through of gardens around Rotary Park to discuss wildlife and the nine principles of the Florida Yards & Neighborhoods program.

Bring your child / children to Rotary Park to learn about the nature and natural history of Florida. Programs are geared for a broad age group and include hands-on activities or projects.

Wild Edibles Walk  Next walk 8/30/17
Learn how to identify edible plants in the wild and how to incorporate them into your landscaping.

Tree & Shrub Pruning -  Saturday, October 7 at 9:00am
Learn useful pruning techniques from a certified arborist to enhance & promote proper growth of your trees & shrubs.
$5 per person, please register in advance

Florida Friendly Yard Tour - Saturday, October 14 at 9:00am
Go with a guide to visit several FYN Certified yards. Get ideas and inspiration on how to improve your yard.
$10 per person. Limited vehicle size, please register early to ensure your seat.

Butterfly Garden Design  (16 years and up) - Friday, September 8 at 10:00am
Learn all about butterflies found in this area & the plants & flowers that are best to attract them.  Tour the butterfly house after class.
$15 per person, register in advance
