April / May 2016

The needs assessment portion of the Parks Master Planning process has been completed and a presentation on the "Existing Conditions and Needs Assessment" was shared with Cape Coral City Council at a Committee of the Whole Meeting on Wednesday, May 4.

The reason to start the process with a needs assessment is to help identify, from the residents, where our highest unmet parks & recreation needs are occurring. Through four (4) Public Workshops, numerous focus groups, one on one meetings with Councilmembers, a statistically valid survey mailed to residents, and an online survey, residents rated facilities and programs that were important to them and identified any unmet needs for additional facilities and programs.
