Picnics, small or large, are always the makings for a fun day out and Cape Coral has several parks with picnic shelters that can be reserved to host your next birthday party, family reunion or special event. Please contact the Shelter Reservations desk at City Hall to reserve a pavilion for the day by paying a nominal fee. Visit the Parks Map page to see which park is most convenient for you.
Nature Parks offer a chance to observe wildlife such as manatees, birds, tortoises and other species in their natural habitat. You can stroll on a boardwalk, take a kayak tour or just sit on a park bench and watch the Caloosahatchee River waters flow. Communing with nature can be beneficial both physically and mentally, so take a stroll and take in the surrounding nature!
Wagging Tails Dog Park, located at Rotary Park Environmental Center, offers dogs of all sizes an opportunity to socialize and run free in an enclosed area. For a small registration fee, doggie parents can relax and watch their dogs play and learn socialization skills. Exercised dogs are less likely to display poor behaviors so visit Wagging Tails Dog Park for a happy dog!
Visit the Interactive Parks Map or print out the Parks Map and Facility Guide to find out which parks offer basketball, bocce, tennis and pickleball courts, fishing areas, a radio controlled plane field, or even a sun bathing beach. Regardless of your interests, you will likely find a park to meet your needs!
