Rollerblading / Skateboarding
While rollerblading and skateboarding are not permitted in Cape Coral’s parks or in most public areas within the City, Eagle Skate Park offers a great venue for children to engage in these high energy activities in a safe and fully supervised environment.Eagle Skate Park, which is located adjacent to the William “Bill” Austin Youth Center on SW 2nd Ave, is one of the largest skate facilities from Miami to Tampa featuring nearly 27,000 square feet of ramps, rails, and pipes. While at the Skate Park, participants can skateboard, rollerblade, or ride bikes (Wednesday nights only) while listening to the latest music on an 1800 watt Bose sound system. The facility also offers a video game zone, concession area, helmet rentals, and an air conditioned “parent room” where parents can watch TV or use the park’s complementary wireless internet connection while in full view of the Skate Park.
Annual memberships are available for both Cape Coral residents and non-residents, or guests can pay a non-member fee each time they visit the park. In addition to open skate time, Eagle Skate Park offers lessons, day camps, contests, afterschool programs, and birthday party packages.
