The Cape Coral Art Center has been an artist community resource in Southwest Florida since 1977. Located in Rubicond Park on Coronado Parkway in Southeast Cape, the Art Center offers year-round classes for residents and guests of all ages and skill levels in fine arts and fine crafts. No memberships are required for participation. Featuring over 15,000 square feet of well-equipped studios, specialty art supplies store, gift shop, and art galleries, the Art Center has something for everyone from regulars to casual visitors looking to spend a fun afternoon strolling through.

The Fine Art Gallery features monthly exhibits showcasing local artists.  The Art Supply Store conveniently provides specialty art supplies for classes and the community. Visit the Gift Shop, which showcases artwork by students and instructors.  The Art Center is also home to many non-profit community partners.

CLASSES
Art Center - Classes - CopyThe Cape Coral Art Center offers year-round classes and programming in fine arts and fine crafts for all ages. Choose from various classes, including acrylic painting, watercolor, oil painting, pottery clay/raku, stone sculpture, silversmithing, jewelry, precious metal clay, glass bead-making, glass fusing, wire wrapping, stained glass, copper enameling, and more. Classes for children and teens include clay. 

Studios are well equipped, and classes are available from intermediate to advanced levels. Classes are offered on various days and times to fit into your schedule. No membership is required. Registration for a specific class is required to save your place. Supplies are available for purchase on-site, and students receive a 10% discount on all purchases in the Art Supply Store.

ART SUPPLY STORE
Art Center - Fine Arts Supply Store - CopyThe Art Supply Store is in Building 2 and provides the community with a large inventory of specialty fine art supplies. This selection of supplies offers everything needed for classes available at the Art Center to meet the needs of students and the public.

The store is conveniently open to the public Monday Through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Supplies are available for purchase onsite, and Cape Coral Art Center students receive a 10% discount on all purchases in the Art Supply Store.

FINE ART GALLERIES
Art Center - Fine Art Galleries - Copy

The Art Center is home to two gallery exhibition spaces, the Main Gallery and the Side Gallery, which feature exhibits throughout the year. Admission into both gallery spaces is FREE and open to the public! Each exhibition features solo, curated, open calls to artists and traveling exhibits.

Are you a local artist? Get involved by entering your artwork into one of our open-call-themed exhibitions! Open calls are wonderful opportunities to explore your medium and creativity more freely. The Art Center exhibits the work of established, early-career, and aspiring artists in solo, team, and group shows. Complete a proposal for submissions to our Exhibition Committee for opportunities to show in both gallery spaces! A committee of visual artists and Art Center staff selects future exhibitions.

GIFT SHOP
Art Center - Gift Shop - CopyThe Gift Shop is full of unique artwork by students, instructors, and community partner member affiliates. Artwork changes regularly, and prices are reasonable. This is an excellent place to buy something special for that special someone!

If you want to sell your artwork in the Gift Shop, call 239-574-0802 or email artcenter@capecoral.gov to schedule an appointment. All work is juried into the gift shop, so keep in mind some pieces may not be accepted.

CREATIVITY CAMP
Creativity Camp 2023 - CopyExplore the arts this summer with Creativity Camp, where children ages 7 to 13 dive into a world of color and learn exciting new art techniques and mediums in a safe, educational, and fun environment. 

Each weekly themed program will inspire your child's imagination through several creative processes, including air-dried clay, mixed media, painting, drawing, colored pencils, a gallery exhibition, and more. The Art Center provides all the necessary supplies needed to create projects as unique as your kid! Students bring lunch, a water bottle, and their imagination. Snacks are available for purchase. Start planning for an amazing summer today!

Scholarship space is available! Be sure to complete and return the application form by the due date for a chance to be awarded a scholarship from our community partner, the Southwest Florida Fine Craft Guild.

SPECIAL EVENTS
The Art Center features annual Special Events, including the Fine Craft Expo, Holly Daze Fine Art Sale, and Open House events.

VOLUNTEERING
Are you looking to get more involved in the community, accumulate volunteer hours, or help? The Art Center offers volunteer opportunities for enthusiastic individuals and groups aged 16 and up to volunteer their time and talents. You can choose whether to volunteer for a one-time special event or become a regular volunteer. Sharing your talent and time with the community is appreciated! COMMUNITY PARTNERS
The Art Center partners with non-profit art organizations that meet at the Art Center weekly or monthly. Organizations include the Florida Society of Goldsmiths Southwest Chapter, Southwest Florida Fine Craft Guild, Southwest Florida Glass Beadmakers, and the Flotilla 9-10 Coast Guard Auxiliary.

DONATIONS
Donating to the Cape Coral Art Center helps us continue educating, supporting, and creating together! The Art Center is happy to accept donations during regular operating hours. Call 239-574-0802 or email artcenter@capecoral.gov to schedule an appointment. 

Accepted art-related donation items include new or like-new materials, unopened products, supplies and some functioning equipment, food and beverage for gallery reception events, scholarships to support young artists, monetary donations toward exhibitions and projects, and naming opportunities for community members committed to the vital role of the Arts in Cape Coral.

We do not accept old, used paint, items with wear and tear, ceramic glaze chemicals, non-functioning equipment, or any other hazardous material that would otherwise need appropriate disposal. 

All donations are tax-deductible.
