This division manages the extensive network & communications infrastructure within the City, as well as the systems and storage that support all City and Public Safety applications. This involves developing & supporting the local area (LAN), wide area (WAN), wireless local area (WLAN) and storage area (SAN) networks and all the data centers, local and remote, that host these enterprise systems.

Desktop support services are provided to all City Departments & Network/Systems support to the City’s Municipal Charter School System. Support is also provided for all the Public Safety systems and users – Fire and Police departments.

Key accomplishments in FY 2012 included: - Completed server virtualization/capacity expansion for the JD Edwards and Sire applications - Expanded Disaster Recovery capabilities at the Lee County Clerk of Courts Data Center (Local Government Disaster Recovery Consortium) - Leveraged efforts with Lee county and Florida Power and Light to get low cost, high bandwidth data connectivity to County data centers 
Key projects planned for FY 2013 include: - Virtualization of the CRW database infrastructure - Extend Disaster Recovery capability of the payroll system to the Gru-Com data center in Gainesville, Florida (Local Government Disaster Recovery Consortium) - Expansion of the VoIP telephone infrastructure

- Public Wi-Fi at several Parks & Recreation Facilities

- Upgrading the Wide Area Network (WAN) that serves the Fire Stations
