It is Risk Management's goal to educate and train City Employees on safety and limit the exposure to unsafe conditions in turn reducing the amount of Worker's Compensation claims. If an employee is to return to work after an injury and is unable to perform their duties for a period of time, the light duty program is utilized along with re-training.
Risk staff investigates all accidents. Paperwork is completed and follow-up is constantly done to ensure all procedures are followed.
Risk Management tracks all hours and time lost. This tracking mechanism is updated frequently to keep the City of Cape Coral on track and aware of the importance of safety and reduce the potential for accidents.
