Vacancies occur on boards and committees on a regular basis due to term limits, resignations or other circumstances.  Current vacancies and timelines/requirements for submitting applications are listed below.

NOTE:  All applicants for any City Board, Commission or Committee must be a Citizen of the United States and resident of the City of Cape Coral.

Current Vacancies

Affordable Housing Advisory Committee
Resident of Cape Coral and Citizen of the United States
(1) Real Estate Professional
Deadline to receive applications is no later than 12:00 p.m. on Monday, May 15, 2017.

Budget Review Committee - Alternate
Resident of Cape Coral and Citizen of the United States; and established financial background, which may include an educational background, experience, or both in a governmental budget process or private sector process, accounting experience, or high level financial management expereience, such as a Chief Financial Officer that has directly overseen budgetary processes, including the preparation and implementation of a budget for a large organization or company.
Deadline to receive applications is no later than 12:00 p.m. on Monday, May 15, 2017.

Charter Review Commission - 7 Member Vacancies and 2 Alternate Vacancies*

(7 Members) Residents of Cape Coral and Citizens of the United States
(2  Alternates) Residents of Cape Coral and Citizens of the United States, (*alternates could also be chosen from the same pool of applicants)
Deadline to receive applications is no later than 12:00 p.m. on Monday, May 15, 2017.

Construction Regulation Board -
Preferred (but not required) qualifications:
(1)  Class A Air-Conditioning Contractor
(1)  Licensed Plumbing Contractor
Deadline to receive applications is no later than 12:00 p.m. on Monday, May 15, 2017. 

Planning & Zoning Commission - 1 Alternate Vacancy

(1) Resident of Cape Coral and Citizen of the United States
Deadline to receive applications is no later than 12:00 p.m. on Friday, March 31, 2017.

Special Master - Stormwater (Paid/Contract)  - 1 Vacancy*

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering, and must be a Registered Professional Engineer holding an active license in good standing with the State of Florida.

*An alternate could also be chosen from the same pool of applicants.
Deadline to receive applications is Friday, April 7, 2017 by 12:00 p.m.
