Cape Coral Crime Decreases by 11.6 Percent in FDLE Mid-Year Report
The City of Cape Coral reported an 11.6 percent decrease in overall crime for the first six months of 2009 as compared to 2008. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement released their semi-annual report on Wednesday, September 23, and Cape Coral is the 5th safest city in Florida for populations over 100,000.

UCR Mid-Year Report Shows Decrease in Crime in Cape Coral
The mid-year 2008 Uniform Crime Report has been released, and the City of Cape Coral saw a reduction of 4.2 percent in the overall crime rate. This UCR covers the months of January – June, and crimes reported in Cape Coral dropped in five of the seven main categories.
