Throughout the summer, Sun Splash Family Waterpark hosts a variety of aquatic programs for all ages and abilities including learn to swim classes, splash-ca-teer and junior lifeguard camps, community safety programs, and three FREE water safety awareness clinics.

Water Exploration
WATER BABIES (6-36 mo)
The purpose of this course is to develop in young children a high comfort level in and around the water while at the same time training parents in water safety and drowning prevention.This course does not teach children to become accomplished swimmers or survive in the water; it does provide a confidence building, fun, loving experience. One parent or guardian must be in the water with each child. Swim diapers required. (Min-4/Max-12)
SEA SPRITES (3-5 years)
Designed to meet the needs of pre-schoolers, this class will develop a high comfort in the water, a readiness to swim, and for those children who are developmentally ready, teach beginning swim skills. Instruction is done by using creative and fun activities in the water. Toddlers that have not been potty trained must wear swim diapers. (Min-4/Max-8)
Youth Instruction
SEA STARS (6 – 8 years)
Sea Stars combine swimming and adventure learning activities to provide an exciting and unique curriculum. Children progress at individual rates with the opportunity to learn core swimming skills and progress to advanced strokes. Five year olds must be Level Red or above to enroll in Sea Stars. (Min-4/Max. 8)
SWIM STARS (9 – 12 years)
Swimmers progress through exciting skill modules that combine core swimming skills and water safety. The objective is to provide the student with the opportunity to learn the elements of good swimming. Elementary backstroke, butterfly, and the sidestroke will be introduced. Min-4/Max-8)
STROKE STARS (5 years To Adult)
Swimmers refine the freestyle stroke and learn stroke techniques for backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly and more. Students must meet all the skill prerequisites for this class.
Summer Camp Programs
SPLASH-CA-TEER (10 – 15 yrs of age)
The purpose of this program is to give individuals 10- 15 years of age the opportunity to learn job skills while under the guidance of trained staff members in lifeguarding, food & beverage, guest relations, cashiering and group sales. Individuals will work as volunteers at the waterpark. Uniform is included in the cost of program. (Min-5/Max-10)
JUNIOR LIFEGUARD (10 – 15 yrs of age)
The purpose of this program is designed to enlighten participants in the community to what being a lifeguard is all about. Participants will learn about CPR, Basic First Aid, lifeguard rescue techniques and proper swimming techniques. Uniform is included in the cost of the program. (Min-6/Max-12)
COMMUNITY SAFETY PROGRAMS
Sun Splash has partnered with the American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) to offer a complete line of community based safety programs. These include Adult, Child and Infant CPR, Blood borne Pathogen Training, Emergency First Aid, and use of the Automated External Defibrillator (AED), among others.
Our professionally trained instructors have extensive experience in emergency care and can create a program to meet your specific needs. We also offer Lifeguard Training and Learn to Swim Instructor development training to non-employees.

As a community service to help prevent such tragedies, Sun Splash Family Waterpark will be offering three FREE water safety awareness clinics this summer from 9:00-9:30 a.m. on the following dates:
* Saturday, June 26
* Saturday, July 10
* Saturday, August 7
This program was designed to teach drowning prevention and safety awareness around pools and other waterways to parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, siblings, cousins, babysitters and others who watch children. Upon successful completion of the clinic, each participant will receive $2 off up to four general admission tickets to enjoy the waterpark! For more information, call (239) 574-0558
