Animals are not permitted in athletic parks, playgrounds, beaches, picnic areas, nature trails, boardwalks or piers, but there is a doggie park located at Rotary Park for our four-legged friends. Wagging Tails Dog Park includes an area for small and large dogs, as well as several park benches and shaded areas for owners to socialize while their pets play and interact with other dogs.
The registration fee for fiscal year 2011, which begins October 1, 2010, is $15 per dog for Cape residents and $30 per dog for non-Cape residents.
Registration is required to use the City’s only dog park, as well as an annual fee to help maintain the facility. Completed forms and annual dues can be paid in the Rotary Park office from 8:00 a.m. -3:30 p.m. daily. A new registration form is in the works and will be posted on this page and at the park in the near future.
