Although the walking trails at Four Mile Cove Ecological Preserve are open 365 days a year, the Kayak Shack Outpost is only open seasonally, on weekends from Mid-October thru May, plus some select school and government holidays. During regular operating hours, the Kayak Shack Outpost offers single and tandem kayak rentals, in addition to Native Plant Sales.

Hours of Operation:

Weekends & select holidays from October-May
8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Last two-hour rental must depart by 2:00 p.m.
All boats must be back by 4:00 p.m.

Kayak Rental Rates

Single kayak: *$25/four hours*; $16/two hours;
$8/hr any additional hours
Tandem kayak: *$35/four hours*; $24/two hours; $12/hr any additional hours

Cash/check/credit cards are accepted; driver’s license is required & people must be 18 or older to rent. No pets are allowed. Rental prices include sales tax and equipment.
