Know your government, what we do, how we do it and why we do it.
An interactive civic and public information program, the City of Cape Coral Citizens Academy is an opportunity for residents to learn more about their City government and the services delivered. It is a 12-week program that is intended to provide participants with insight on how local governments work, promote open lines of communication and offer a clearer understanding of a municipal government. Each class will consist of 12 sessions hosted by various City departments.
What questions do you have? Challenge yourself by committing to this 12-week class and find out what it takes to run one of the largest cities in the state of Florida. This course is held twice a year. Each session is one day a week and continues for 12 weeks.
Have you ever considered what it takes to balance the demand for new and better services with the desire to maintain or reduce taxes?
