Environmental Resources Division

The Environmental Resources Division (ERD) helps the City of Cape Coral manage its wealth of natural resources. We are involved in canal water quality monitoring through both staff-sampled locations and the Canalwatch volunteer program. This division is also responsible for the Nile Monitor lizard control program. An important arm of the ERD is public education via guest presentations for local clubs and school groups as well as the Florida Yards and Neighborhoods program. Environmental Resources staff also provides scientific and technical support for the City's environmental regulatory activities.
