	Council Suspends Impact Fees to Attract More Business Businesses considering Cape Coral as their location now have another reason to choose the city. City Council voted to suspend road impact fees for businesses moving into existing buildings. That means if a business with a higher-impact use moves into an existing building, they would not be charged an added road impact fee. Cost savings for businesses could be significant. The Economic Development Office (EDO) and local business groups strongly supported this waiver program as an incentive to fill empty buildings in the city. Cape Coral’s road impact fee incentive program is effective immediately and will stay in effect until September 1, 2012. Read Full Release

On January 6, 2012, the City of Cape Coral has launched its new audio podcast program, featuring an interview with Economic Development Director Dana Brunett. “Capecast Audio 20” will be regular 20-minute programs, hosted by the City’s Public Information Director Connie Barron.

City of Cape Coral Hosts International Trade Summit to Encourage Business Growth

June 1, 2011 The Cape Coral Economic Development Office will host an International Trade Summit on June 7 at the Marina Village Resort. Speakers from throughout the state will educate the local business community about international trade opportunities.
