One of the most important success factors for business growth is employee training and development to keep pace with growth, technology changes, and economic climates. 

To help our local businesses continue to expand - and
to help workers increase their skills -
the Economic Development Office asked the City Council to invite Lee County's Business Industry Services (BIS) Division to establish a location in the Cape. The request was made to have BIS share a modular facility with the FGCU Small Business Development Center immediately across the street from
city hall. The Cape Coral office of BIS is located at
1020 Cultural Park Boulevard, Unit #103.

The Council supported this initiative and beginning in April, 2008 Cape businesses and workers have ready access to BIS's customized employee training programs and seminars. Plus, because BIS shares facilities with SBDC, businesses now have a one-stop opportunity to receive free counseling as well as support for their employee training needs.

Business & Industry Services provides customized, quality, cost-effective training to meet the needs of existing, new and future employers.  Training takes place at the employer's job site, Lee County Public Schools Education Center, at the Cape Coral office, or at locations that will meet the needs of the particular training situation. Business & Industry Services also offers computer classes for the general public.
