Message to All Cape Coral Residents:

A number of homeowners have received a mailing from HomeServe (aka Technology Insurance Company) offering water service line insurance coverage.  This program is not being offered by the City of Cape Coral but through an independent insurer.  The City has no involvement whatsoever with this program.  The City maintains, and will continue to maintain the City's water system up to the individual water meter.  Property owners are responsible for their water lines and home connection beyond the water meter.

Purchase of said insurance is an individual choice and personal needs should be evaluated before purchasing. If you have any questions concerning this program, please contact Technology Insurance Company at the number listed on their communication.

The executive search firm, Colin Baenziger & Associates, is conducting the recruitment for Cape Coral's next City Manager.  Applications closed on January 27.  The City Manager is selected by the City Council.  The Council is planning to conduct interviews and a "meet and greet" with the public with the final candidates on Thursday/Friday, March 22 - 23.  The Council is expected to make a decision on the new manager at a meeting on Monday, March 26.
